Baby Watts!

We're so excited to announce that we have a precious little addition coming to our family in early January.  Baby Watts is due January 6th...I was 12 weeks along on Monday!  Officially finished with the 1st trimester!!  Woohoo!!  We've had a couple of recent ultrasounds and on each of them we've seen the baby kicking, waving his/her arms and just moving all around.  Absolutely amazing!

This was the announcement that we put on facebook to let everyone know we were expecting!

I asked Emily if she thought the baby was going to be a girl or a boy and she quickly said "GIRL!!"  When I asked her what we should name the baby she thought for a minute and then said..."I know!!!  We can name her Hannah!!"  Mommy -  "But we already have a Hannah."  Emily - "Yeah, but we can have two Hannah's, and when I grow up I can be a Hannah too, and then we'll all be Hannah's."  Haha!  Glad she likes her sister's name, but I feel like that might get confusing.:)

We're so thankful to the Lord for blessing us with another sweet baby.  We can't wait to hold him/her in our arms.  We're praying for our baby and remembering that the Lord is giver and sustainer of life.  Praise Him for our growing family!

Daddy/Daughter Date Night

Bert and Emily went on their first Daddy/Daughter Date Night on Monday night.  They went to Chick-fil-A and had a great time!!

Here they are before their date.  I didn't tell Emily to look up at her Daddy (in fact I told her to look at me), but I loved this picture that I accidentally caught.  You can click on it to make it bigger....she's just smiling up at him.  So sweet!:)

Em does love making silly faces for the camera right now!

Chick-fil-A does such a great job with their Daddy/Daughter Date nights that they put on....it included their meals, tour of the kitchen, craft for the daughters to do (Em decorated the wand that she was holding in front of her in the picture below), and dessert.

They had fun on their date night, and I could hardly wait to hear all about it when they got back.  Emily and Hannah are two blessed little girls to have such an amazing dad!!

Family Photo Session

At the end of May we had some family pictures made by the very talented Suni Cawthon.  We are so thankful for her taking the time to meet with us and taking them.  We loved them!:)

Watts Reunion

Last weekend we went to the Watts family reunion at a park just below Atlanta.  The reunion really is in the perfect location.  There is a building with lots of tables set up inside, a kitchen and bathrooms inside, a beautiful lake, lots of rocking chairs on the porch, and plenty of shade.  Win for everyone!

Here is a picture of Grandmama and Pawpaw with their grandbabies.  So sweet!!

Grandmama took Emily on lots of "adventures" throughout the day.  They would walk down to the lake and throw rocks, explore, etc.  Emily might have come back with a little dirt on her, but she was happy!!  She does love her Grandmama!

The night before we left for the reunion we were telling Emily where we were going the next day.  She got really excited and said "Do you think Pawpaw will hold me??"  Haha!  We assured her that he would jump at the chance.  The picture below was taken towards the end of the day and she was winding down, but content in Pawpaw's arms.

As we were pulling out of the parking lot late that afternoon Emily said "That was fun!!"  Bert and I agreed.:)

We were on the road about 5 minutes before I turned around and found Emily like this.  The child was worn slap out!:)

We're thankful for a loving family, and we hope to see everyone again soon!!

Cousins' Zoo Trip

Mimi, Aunt Katherine and Jacob came over to Greenville last weekend for a fun trip to the zoo with all the cousins!  Jacob had never been to the Greenville zoo and Emily had fun showing him around, even though she'd only been once! :)

Here they are checking out the elephants!!  The elephants are always a favorite!

This turtle was just impressive.  He was walking all over while we were standing there and he was actually pretty quick.

We love this cutie!!  Jacob is sooo busy!  He's almost 2 and just full of energy!!:)

All the kiddos and Aunt Katherine.  Hannah was refusing to stay put, so Aunt Katherine had to jump in the picture to hold her down.:)

We had a really fun day!  Thankful for the time we got to spend together!

These Days...

-Emily's costume of choice is a Tinkerbell dress and she pretty much wears it all the time.

-Hannah is copying lots of different words that we say.  She's saying new words every day!!  So fun!

-Emily is nighttime potty trained and it was easy --- she was ready.

-Hannah loves to chase Emily around the house, laughing the whole time.

-Emily is very ready to go to the beach and talks about it often.  We don't go until the first of August - yikes!:)

-Hannah has learned to say "mine" and says it all the time.  It doesn't matter if it's actually hers - if she wants it she holds out her hand saying "MINE!!"  Good thing she's so cute!:)

-Emily has recently become rougher with Hannah.  I think she must assume that since Hannah is walking/running she's "fair game."  I find myself saying "be careful" about a bazillion times a day.:)

-Hannah has a new found love for dancing (its really more like bouncing)...it's adorable!

-Emily insists on ringing the doorbell about 5 times every time she goes in or out of the front door.

-Hannah insists on feeding herself.  It's sometimes hard for my type-A self to watch the child get food everywhere, but I'm trying hard to let her learn (she doesn't give me much choice by making a ruckus until I give her the spoon.)  She's really getting pretty good at it!

-When the girls ride in Bert's car they can reach each other and love to hold hands while they are riding.  It will melt your heart to turn around and see them holding hands.

We're thankful for our little loves!!:)

Water Table

On Memorial Day we decided it was time to set up the water table for the girls and let them have some fun!  They loved it!  From the beginning Emily was worried we were about make her stop playing, and she kept telling us over and over that she wasn't ready to go inside. Hannah had fun too!  She would play for a little bit, wander around the yard, and then play some more.

Cuties!

These girls love the water!  We're looking forward to more fun in the sun this summer!
