Pool Time - Vacation 2017

We spent lots of time and had lot of fun in the pool!  We have what we call the "little" pool (normal sized pool) right next to our condo and a huge pool across the walking bridge, next to the beach....we enjoyed both!

Abby decided halfway through the week that she didn't want to sit in her float (you can see it behind them in this picture) and instead wanted to just be held.  She's let us hear it if we tried to put her in and we finally just quit bringing it to the pool.

We had two of these floats that we played with all week and they were worth every cent of the two dollars that they cost.  The kids had fun with them!

Mimi and all 6 grandbabies!

Bert and me

Daddy with his two girls and Abby!

We enjoyed Stanley's girlfriend, Alisha, being there with us!  We all loved getting to know her better and really appreciated how much help they both were with all the kids!  It can get a little crazy with 6 kids age-7-and-under, so we were thankful to have their help, and they had fun spending time with all the kids!

Abby loves it when Daddy throws her in the air!  She always has the biggest smile on her face.

Emily had fun jumping off Papa Stan's shoulders. I caught her mid jump this time!

I thought this was a precious profile of Hannah-Bo-Bana. She's come such a long way with her swimming this summer (so has Emily) and we're super proud!

This is how Hannah jumps in the water every time...even if she's jumping off the diving board.  It's more of a lunge, but some how it doesn't hurt her like a belly flop does.:)

Claire's gotten braver this summer too!  She was all over that pool like a little fish as long as she had her puddle jumper on.

Team Watts at the big pool!

Mimi and Papa with the grands!

Everyone else minus Mimi and Papa!

We loved all of our pool time!

4th of July - Parade, Dinner and Fireworks - Vacation 2017

The 4th of July fell on the Tuesday of our vacation week this year and we started the day off with an Independence Day parade from these cute kids. Mimi had gone to the dollar store before she left Toccoa and bought all the supplies.

They did some laps around the kitchen/living room area

They had fun playing with the hats, wings and flags during the rest of the week and there were only a few arguments over them. :)

After a fun day of playing in the sun we had a big low country broil that night for dinner.  It was delicious!

After dinner we cleaned up and headed over to the pool deck to watch fireworks together.  They were SO good this year. We are not far from the county pier and Panama City put on an amazing show off of that pier.  Jacob and Emily kept wanting to video it because they thought it was so good, but we told them just to enjoy it.  I LOVE a good firework show and it was extra nice that we didn't even have to get in our car/traffic to see it.

Love celebrating holidays with our family!

Water Park - Vacation 2017

We had a fun day at Shipwreck Island Waterpark!  We got there early and were able to get a big cabana in the kiddie section so that we could have plenty of shade throughout the day.  So nice!  We spent most of our time in the kids' section, but the big kids (adults) took turns going out and riding rides that the real kids couldn't ride.  I don't think Mimi and Papa rode anything, but just enjoyed watching the kids play.

They have so many of these cute little slides.  Perfect for Claire's age!  She had a blast!  Also, notice her green puddle jumper.  We also have a purple and pink puddle jumper for her to choose from but she wanted the "geen one" all week.

You can tell I spent a lot of time on "Claire duty" since I have the most pictures of her.  We definitely had to tag team the kids so that we could make sure we knew where everyone was.

Papa enjoyed letting Abby take a morning nap on his chest.  I'm sure he was the happiest person in the park while she was sleeping.  He loves to hold a sleeping baby and they just don't do it very often anymore.

Precious!

Mimi and Papa held Abby and Ressie during their afternoon naps.  Mimi was pretending to sleep for the picture but Papa actually was.  We came back from riding a ride with the big kids and found them like this...I thought it was sweet!

At the end of the day I told the girls I wanted 1 picture of all 4 of them.  They were sweet to humor me!

Cutie!

It was a great day, and is always one of our favorite things to do on vacation! Looking forward already to next summer!

Panama City Beach 2017

We went to Panama City Beach with the whole Roberts/Sanders crew this year over July 4th week. It's one of our highlights every year!

Our first night in PCB we headed over to a pizza place on the other side of the walking bridge and ate our pizza by the pool, while looking out a the beach.  We were all glad to be there!

This cutie was especially glad!  She didn't nap much on the way down as she was afraid she'd miss something.

Emily made this sign and put it on the outside of our condo door.  It made all of the adults chuckle!

Bert and I walked outside and let the girls to hit a few golf balls one night.  Our condo is on the 8th hole of a Par 3 golf course so we didn't have to go far.

No pro golfers yet, but they've got time!

Claire's stitches were supposed to come out on their own after 5 to 7 days, but 3 of them were hanging on, so Mimi used some of her nursing skills and took them out on day 9 or 10.  Claire was so brave and Jacob and Emily thought the whole process was fascinating.

I loved this picture of Abby after her nap one day.  She's been taking one nap a day for months and months, but half way through the trip Abby got seriously fussy.  As in all day (that's what it felt like anyway) she fussed or cried, so the last half of the week we started giving her two naps a day and she started doing much better.  The poor thing was trying to tell us she couldn't hang with the big kids, but it took us a couple days for her to get her point across. Ha!

One day we enjoyed a picnic on the beach.

All three girls loved the sand this year!  Abby might have, but we didn't let her play in it too much because she would just try to eat it.

I loved this picture of my mom and dad!

3-year-olds are precious.  I love the way Claire pronounces words.  She says "I'm fwirsty" for "I'm thirsty." I'm going to miss it when she all the sudden starts saying it correctly.

The three littles....all one year apart!

Claire wasn't too excited about the ocean at first and only wanted to play in the sand.  She did finally warm up to the water, but still loved it when someone would play with her in the sand.  Uncle Stanley and Daddy to the rescue!

While we were getting the kids sunscreened up Mimi was busy packing snacks and drinks for everyone to enjoy.  Thanks Mimi!

The water was beautiful and clear the week we were there and the waves were super fun!

Ressie and Emily got buried while everyone else was in the water.

They have big golf carts to shuttle people back and forth from the beach side over to the other side (across the walking bridge) and the kids love waiting on the tram.  Most of the time we made them walk with us because we didn't want to wait on the golf carts and a little exercise never hurt anyone, but sometimes we let them wait. :)

Mimi and Papa took these girls for a walk around one night while we cleaned up the kitchen.  Hannah and Jacob were playing together and didn't want to go on the walk.

Vacation can wear the adults out too!:)

Uncle Brett on the love seat with 5 kids!  Ha!

I loved this picture of all 6 kiddos!  They are all 6 smiling and looking too cute!

We're thankful for family and we're thankful for a week away to spend together!  We had such a great time in Panama City Beach this year!
