We'd had a great stay, but by Friday (1/10) morning we were very ready to get out of there! Thankfully they had us ready to go by mid morning!
Mommy and Daddy with our Claire Bear.
As we were getting ready to leave the hospital I had mixed emotions. I was so ready to leave but at the same time nervous. I realize we've brought two other children home from the hospital, but it still just feels so weighty. This sweet little girl is dependant on us for everything...e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. Praying that we'll be the parents she needs us to be to point her to Christ and take good care of her physical needs.
I sat in the back with Claire on the way home from the hospital. She mostly slept, but I enjoyed just watching her.
It's become a tradition to stop by Chick-fil-A on the way home from the hospital when we're bringing each of our kids home for the first time. What do you get at 11am on a cold, rainy morning in January?? Ice cream and a milk shake of course! We were celebrating our girl!
Mimi snapped this picture of the girls watching through the window as we ran in with Claire.
Mimi, Emily and Hannah had made us this cute Welcome Home sign! The girls were quite proud of their work!
Our first family picture at home!
We were happy, happy, happy to be home with all three of our girls! I think our big girls were pretty excited about having us home too!:)
