This past weekend was so beautiful, so Bert and I decided we had to go do something outside on Saturday afternoon. Most of the time when we decide that we head to Falls Park or downtown Greenville because it's just so beautiful and we just love being down there, but this day we decided to switch things up and headed up to Travelers Rest.
We started out with a walk down the Swamp Rabbit Trail. There were a lot of bikers on the trail that day so we had to keep the girls really close.
Emily asked to have her picture taken in front of this golfer-statue-thing. She's decided she wants to learn how to play golf. Her Uncle Stanley is getting her a couple clubs (cutting off some old ones he doesn't use anymore) and he and Bert and going to "teach" her how to play while we're at the beach this summer. She's excited!
After our walk was stopped by an ice cream shop. Emily and Hannah both requested cones instead of cups for the first time. They were a little messy, but thoroughly enjoyed their ice cream.
I loved this picture of Hannah just admiring her ice cream before she took her first bite.
Abby is seriously sooooo laid back. She let us enjoy our walk and our ice cream, even though it was getting close to her feeding time. She was watching and listening to Hannah in the picture below.
After that we headed over to a local park and I nursed Abby in the car while Bert let the big girls play on the playground. Claire did this slide about 224 times. She loved it, but it was super fast and Bert had to stand at the bottom to catch her or she would have hit the ground every single time.
I love the carefree-ness (is that a word?) you can see on her face and the ice cream stains all down her shirt. That's how you know good times were had. :)
Loving being outside with our girls this Spring!
