August Lake Trip

We were able to take a lake trip in early August before the kids went back to school and we all enjoyed our relaxing weekend there.

Ressie spent Friday with us at the lake since her Mommy and Daddy had to work. Jacob was at school since GA schools started back earlier than SC.  If he had known that his sister and cousins were at the lake playing I don't think he would have been happy!

I LOVED this picture of the girls!

I caught this action shot of E and H playing in the water with each other and it makes me happy.

Emily took a picture of Mimi and me holding Claire, Abby, and Ressie.  Maybe not the most relaxing floating experience, but definitely fun!

Hannah Beth doing a little floating!

Friday afternoon we got lots of rain. Mom, Bert and I were able to sit out on the screened porch and read and listen to the rain while the kids were either resting or sleeping. We thought the afternoon was pretty great!

After naps they were ready to do some painting and were excited that Jacob had joined them!

Just before dinner I decided to take the big kids (Emily, Hannah and Jacob) down for a swim since the rain had finally stopped.  They had fun playing for awhile!

After dinner Hannah took Papa on in a game of chess. I'm not sure who won?

Stanley and Alisha got to the lake house late Friday night and the kids were so excited to see them when they woke up on Saturday morning.  We went on some early morning jet ski rides before Jacob's birthday party which was later that morning.

Abby is waving and smiling in the picture below.  Cutie!

After the jet ski rides we headed over to Jacob's 6th birthday party.  We weren't able to make it to his 5th birthday party, so the girls were super excited to be there.  It was a swimming party and it was a big hit!

After another relaxing afternoon of naps and rest we went back down to the lake for one more swim before we packed up and headed to Katherine and Brett's for dinner.  Mom and Dad had a wedding to go to that night and Katherine and Brett offered to feed our family and Stanley and Alisha dinner before Team Watts headed back to Greenville that night.  They fixed an amazing dinner and we so enjoyed being together!  Thankful for a fun weekend!
