A December Snow Day

We had a good snow in December that was so much fun!  Bert took a few pictures of the snow before our first sledding adventure started!

Our backyard...

These girls were sooo excited about getting out in the snow!  Cute things!

Abby and Claire managed to get the wettest and the coldest!

We started sledding in our front yard and then ended up going to the golf course behind our house with some other neighbors.

The golf course sledding was definitely the best place around!

Hannah loved making snow angles and she was also the one that I caught eating handfuls of snow several times!

The snow started Saturday night so we weren't able to have church that Sunday, but we had family devotion after playing in the snow over hot chocolate and snow ice cream!:)

The Burns family lost power for a couple days so they hung out with us Monday until their power came back on.  Bert and Rhett were at work and we loved having Shannon and the kids over to play while we were cooped up inside!

Shannon and I bundled the kids up and let them go outside to play for about 30 minutes that afternoon.

Two of our teenage neighbors came over to help them build this awesome snowman!

The kids were out of school for the first part of that week and several different events were canceled.  The snow was fun and it was a nice break in the middle of a busy schedule!!
