Panama City Beach

We had a wonderful time in Panama City with my parents and brother!  It was a much needed vacation for all of us.  We had fun in the sun, took lots of naps, watched many movies, went shopping, rode race cars, played games, read books, ate really good food, etc.  I'm pretty sure Emily was held by someone for about 90% of the day.  When we got home she didn't appreciate being put down.:)  She got a little spoiled, but it was definitely worth it.

This is Emily's first time in water (pool, ocean, or lake)...we have given her a bath.:)

She seemed to really like it!  She never cried while in the water, but she was very serious.  We can usually get her to smile pretty easily, but not while she's in the water.  We tried all of our tricks, but nothing worked.

Here's another first...her first time in the ocean.  She seemed to like it too.  She's just a pretty laid back baby...I guess she got that from her Daddy.

Mimi and Papa Stan enjoying holding Emily...they love her SO much!!!

I love this picture, but its just not complete w/o Katherine and Brett!  We missed y'all very much!!  We're at a great restaurant that Stanley recommended.  We typically stick w/ our favorites, but this summer one of our favorites (The Treasure Ship) burned to the ground so we had to venture out.  It was probably good for us....we loved this new restaurant too!!

We have many traditions in our family and driving race cars every year when we go to the beach is definitely one of them.  The three guys are a little more competitive than me.  I enjoy just riding around and feeling the wind on my face, but the guys want to spin you around and run you into a wall just to prove they are the fastest!  Boys will be boys!:)  I'm honestly not sure who won.  It definitely wasn't me.

Emily and her beautiful Mimi!!  I just think this is such a good picture of my mom I had to include it!

Emily and Papa Stan...he looks happy doesn't he!:)

Emily and Uncle Stan.  He loved holding Emily!  Stanley had been down in PBC on Summer Leadership Project with Campus Outreach all summer and hadn't seen her for a couple months.  She'd gotten just a little bigger!:)

On the way back to Wake Forest we were able to stop by Shelby, NC and see our friends Keri and Patrick and their daughter Kayley.  It was sooo good to see them and so fun to see their new house.  We absolutely love it!  Here's a picture of Kayley and Emily!  It won't be long before they can actually play together.  Kayley is 8 months older than Emily.

We had such a great time on vacation!  Thank you, Mama and Daddy, for everything!!
