August Lake Trip

We took one last lake trip about a week before school started back and we enjoyed it thoroughly!  The Burns family came with us on Thursday night and spent the night with us at the cabin and then enjoyed playing on the lake all day on Friday!  We SO loved having them there with us!!

Hudson loved jumping of the top of the dock!

I thought this was a cute picture of Abby..

We really enjoyed playing on Brett's paddle board!  There were almost no boats out on Friday so it was a perfect time to paddle all over.  We even went all the way across the lake (to the SC side) several times!

The kids played on it for hours!

It was so peaceful and calm!

Claire!

Emily!

During nap time/rest time mom kept all 7 kids at the house while we (Rhett, Shannon, Bert and I) went on a long jet ski ride to see the waterfall!  This is the view when you are getting close to the waterfall!  Isn't it beautiful?!

We really enjoyed our little double date and they even talked me into swimming all the way up to the bottom of the falls, which is definitely not something I've done before.  That water was cold, but the swim over to the falls was totally worth it!

Dinner time!

Sweet things putting a puzzle together and doing it together

Jacob had a lake birthday party on Saturday from 10-12!  The girls loved getting to be there to celebrate their cousin turning 7!

That afternoon Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Kathy took us on a long pontoon ride which we all loved!!

Shannon took this picture from the top of the dock on Thursday night not long after we had gotten there!  I thought it was so beautiful!  The top of the dock used to be my FAVORITE spot to go to have my quiet times and spend time with God/studying the Bible.  It was also where Bert proposed to me!  So many wonderful memories there and I feel like Shannon captured the view so well!

We headed back to Greenville around dinner time on Saturday, but left very thankful for another wonderful weekend on Lake Hartwell!
