Pier Park - Vacation 2017

We did the Pier Park rides on our last night in PCB (Friday).  We went to Five Guys for dinner and then headed over to let the kids enjoy the rides.

Bert and Brett rode the train with the kids around Pier Park.  Emily was going to ride in her own car, but then another family came so she had to jump in with Uncle Brett.

Abby thoroughly enjoyed herself.  Claire did too!

While they were off riding the train we decided that we should take a sibling picture.  I LOVE my siblings and I loved getting to spend the week with them!

We had fun on the carousel after the train ride.  Abby got to ride that too.  She was on the back of a horse and going up and down and loving life but I had a tight grip on her, which is probably why I don't have a picture to show her fun!

Then it was time for the airplanes.  This ride went super long because the operator thought it was funny to keep it going. I think he thought that he was doing the kids a favor. But even the kids, and definitely the adults (Bert and Brett), were ready for it to be over when he finally stopped it. Don't worry, they all still had fun!

Emily, Hannah and Jacob wanted to ride the teacups.  During the first ride Jacob and Emily rode together and Hannah rode by herself.  Jacob is super strong and was able to spin their wheel so hard and fast that Emily started looking a little green.  She had a really funny look on her face and she was trying to tell Jacob to stop but could hardly talk to him. Even the lady at the control tried to ask Emily if she was okay....we were definitely all trying to ask her.  Katherine got Jacob to stop and Emily started looking better.

Jacob wanted to ride it again and this time Hannah decided she wanted to be his partner.  Bert and I really thought it would be better for her not to be because we didn't want to ruin his fun if he had to stop spinning again for another one of his cousins, BUT they both really wanted to ride together so we went along with it.  There were a few moments when Hannah looked less than excited and I heard her tell Jacob to slow down once, but she handled it a little better than her big sister.

Mimi caught this cute candid picture of the 4 big kids (Abby and Ress Bess were in strollers) .

It was fun watching them have so much fun together, not just here but all week! We love that they get to have this week together each year. We were glad to be back in Greenville and in our own beds at the end of the week, but we're ready for next summer's fun when the time comes!
