Easter 2013

We had a great Easter celebration this year with our church and our family!

Emily's been excited about wearing her Easter dress for weeks now!  Here are a couple of pictures of the girls that  I took before we left for church...

Emily's in the "Play and Praise Choir" at church and she had first ever performance on Easter morning.  They sang two songs and she did such a great job!!  We really weren't sure if she would even stay up there (Bert was sitting on the front row), but she stayed, sang and smiled!  She even threw in a couple hand motions.:)  We were proud of our big girl!

After church we hopped in the car and headed to Toccoa to spend the afternoon with my family.  Hannah slept and Emily talked.  Em isn't a really big fan of going to sleep in the car.  She has to be crazy crazy tired before she falls asleep.:)

After the Sanders arrived later in the afternoon we had an Easter egg hunt for the kiddos.  Unfortunately it was raining so we had to do it inside.  Mimi was the most disappointed of anyone, but she survived :)  We had the egg hunt in the bonus room.  Hannah and Jacob really were not very interested in the eggs or putting them in their baskets....which meant Emily racked up, because she took it pretty seriously once she got started.

After the Easter egg hunt and all the pictures, we all sat down for an incredible feast! 

We were so thankful to be able to celebrate Easter with our church family and our Roberts family.  It was a fun day of celebrating our risen Lord.  A few times through out the day Emily would get really excited and say "Jesus has risen!!!"  We just smiled and said "Yes He has, baby!:)"  We're praying that one day our girls believe with all their hearts that Jesus died for their sins and rose form the grave, and truly understand what Easter is all about!
